What We Offer
At Anchor Financial we are committed to delivering long-term results through active portfolio management for every phase of your life. Our investment decisions are supported by a very strong research platform that conducts in-depth analysis of securities allowing us to provide effective and diversified solutions on clients overall portfolio. Most importantly, we get to know our clients so that we can create customized individual plans with investment solutions that always move them forward. Our expertise combined with our strong strategic partnerships allow us to grow our clients’ money so that they have the best chance of achieving the life they want.
Realizing the retirement of your dreams starts with a well-focused plan. The first important step in this process is to find the most reliable and competitive income options in the market. In addition, with life expectancy statistics climbing we are faced with some new challenges. Living a longer life has obvious appeal, but what is not appealing is the idea of outliving your money.
At Anchor Financial we work with you side-by-side to educate you on all key considerations and develop very customized insurance-based strategies for weathering all market conditions and protecting your retirement income. We guide you step-by-step through the retirement planning process to create peace of mind and a plan that meets your unique goals to make sure your money lasts as long as you do.
You’ve spent years in the accumulation phase of planning your retirement. Now it’s time to switch gears and focus on the preservation of your assets, but it doesn’t mean that growth has to stop. In fact, one of the most important ways we assist our clients is by helping them receive a reasonable rate of return throughout their retirement years without a loss!
At Anchor Financial we specialize in helping our clients make asset protection and preservation their top priority. Many people underestimate the devastation of losses to their portfolio due to market declines and don’t realize how difficult it can be to rebuild an account.
Did you know that a loss of 25% requires a positive return of almost 34% just to get back to even? A 50% loss of your retirement account means you have to double your money just to be whole again. This means that if you have $100,000 and lose 50%, you need to generate a 100% return just to get back to even, which could take years. What if you experience additional losses in the process of trying to get back to even or are drawing income from this account? The impact could be devastating.
We believe that the best way to make a dollar is to keep it. Retirement is a critical time and most retirees simply don’t have the time to recoup losses in their portfolios. Let us show you how we help our clients achieve a reasonable rate of return without ever subjecting their retirement account to loss.
For a lot of people the main goal is to not only have a secure retirement but to also leave a lasting legacy for their children and grandchildren. That means determining where your assets should go along with a thorough evaluation of numerous important factors.
At Anchor Financial we are always on top of the constantly changing estate tax laws and emerging vehicles to help you protect and transfer your assets effectively and efficiently. We conduct a thorough evaluation of potential tax liabilities, probate avoidance and opportunities to leverage the value of your estate using the most up-to-date planning tools.
Few things are more satisfying than knowing the results of your hard work will live on through future generations! Transforming your retirement into a legacy doesn’t have to be complicated. Contact our office today to schedule a one-on-one estate planning consultation.
Qualified Plan Rollovers
Changing jobs and retiring are two transition times in our lives that can be stressful. Fortunately, we work with people every day who are in the same situation and looking to take control of an employer-sponsored plan or just need help transferring the money to another employer plan. We make a seemingly daunting task easy and are happy to help you with your qualified plan questions and needs.
Here are four things you can do with the money in your employer sponsored retirement plan:
- Leave the money where it is
- Take the cash (and pay taxes, plus a 10% tax penalty if you are younger than age 59 ½)
- Transfer the money to another employer-sponsored plan (if the plan allows)
- Roll the money over to a self-directed IRA
Let us help you determine if a rollover is the right move for you!
Next to buying a home, a child’s college tuition is probably the largest single expense a family will incur. At Anchor Financial we take the role of an objective third party in helping you in the college planning process for your children and grandchildren. Just like other investment advice we provide, we want to make sure our clients get the best return on their investment when it comes to paying for college. We provide unique strategies and insights in trying to bring down the sticker price for schools of your choice. We locate numerous scholarship sources as well as assist with deciphering school’s financial aid award packages and work with you throughout the full four year process including helping you with important forms such as FAFSA. In addition, we enforce methods to minimize your expected family contribution and assist in qualifying for the maximum amount of aid permitted by law. With rising college costs consistently outpacing inflation, we want to make sure we’re continuously guiding and helping families with the process making obtaining a good education less stressful and affordable.
Powerful resources and exceptional relationships are the core of Anchor Financial. Passing those relationships and resources through to enhance the overall situation of our clients is an integral part of our firm. Our strategic advisory creates added value beyond just our core business. We facilitate the planning process for our clients by bringing important pieces together and match our clients with additional partners when necessary. We focus on building strong relationships to help the planning process flow smoothly from end to end.
